 Kameno is located in southern Bulgaria, in Burgas Region. It includes 13 settlements. 

The Roma population is living in segregated area in Kameno, Merichleri, Chernogorovo and Yabalkovo. 

Main issues the population is faced with are:
- Illegal housing;
- Massive migration to western European countries; 
- Early marriages; 
- Lack of infrastructure; 
- Important rate of the population without a health insurance. 
 

The ROMACT Process

ROMACT Process started in May 2021 with the signature of the Letter of Agreement.

The Taskforce for Roma inclusion was created following Mayor's approval in December 2021. 

The Municipal Action Plan for Roma inclusion was adopted by the Local Council in June 2022.

*Opportunities under the new Erasmus+ Program (2021-2027) in the School Education sector
